- Police reported a hit-and-run that occurred at 11:15 p.m. Saturday on Miriam Street in Ramey Borough. A Ford Escape was traveling south on state Route 253, and the operator lost control of the vehicle as he was negotiating a right curve in the roadway. His vehicle traveled off the west shoulder approximately 12 feet, striking and severing a telephone pole. After impact with the telephone pole the vehicle continued to travel south approximately 255 feet, coming to final rest in a yard off the east shoulder of SR 253 and Miriam Street. The unknown operator fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival. Anyone with information regarding this accident is urged to contact police at 814-857-3800.
- Police reported an accident that occurred at 6:40 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 80 in Lawrence Township. A vehicle was traveling in the right lane and a Chevrolet Express was in the left passing lane, eastbound at mile marker 120. The vehicle, which was in the right lane, drifted over towards the Express, forcing it off the left of the roadway. The Express then collided with an embankment, causing it to roll over. The other vehicle fled the scene in an easterly direction. Both the operator and passenger of the Express were not injured in the accident.
