– Police reported an incident of harassment at 12 p.m. July 27 in Port Matilda Borough, Centre County. A 24-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man, both of Port Matilda, allegedly engaged in a verbal argument. When the argument escalated, the man allegedly struck her in the face and neck area. He also allegedly broke the woman’s cell phone. Charges of harassment and criminal mischief are being file through the district court.
– Police reported an incident of driving under the influence at 12:25 a.m. Sunday along Interstate 99 northbound at mile marker 69 in Patton Township, Centre County. A 49-year-old Lewistown woman was accused of DUI and various summary offenses following a traffic stop. Charges are to be filed at district court.
– Police reported an incident of retail theft at approximately 4:15 p.m. Saturday at the Dollar General Store, Front Street, Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. A 29-year-old Philipsburg woman was reportedly observed attempting to leave the store with items hidden underneath a baby blanket on the bottom of a stroller.
The woman had reportedly paid for some items. However, she was getting ready to leave, when she was detained for the hidden items, which were not paid for. Those items were valued at $30. The woman will be cited for retail theft through the district court.
