Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers, Philipsburg PSP Seek Public’s Help in Attempted Robbery Investigation

PHILIPSBURG – The Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers and the Philipsburg-based State Police have requested for the public’s assistant in an attempted robbery investigation.

In a press release, police said an 82-year-old male was the victim of an attempted robbery while entering his residence at the Philipsburg Towers at 10 p.m. June 25. At that time, the victim was reportedly punched on the side of his head by an unknown male.

Police said the male then reportedly attempted to remove the victim’s wallet from his pants pocket. However, the male failed to do so and then fled the scene.  The male suspect was described as wearing dark clothing on the date of the incident, police said.
