- Police reported an accident that occurred on July 22 at 5:40 a.m. on US Route 322 in Worth Township. Donna Rowles was traveling eastbound when a deer entered the roadway. The vehicle struck the deer head-on and was towed from the scene. The driver was not injured.
- Police report a theft that occurred July 19 between 5:30 and 7:30 in the evening, at an apartment on Laurel Street in the Philipsburg Borough. The incident occurred when the suspect stole the victims debit card from her apartment and then purchased items from numerous local stores in the amount of $42.61. Charges of theft and access device fraud will be filed on the suspect.
- Police report a second single vehicle crash that occurred on July 23 at 5:55 on state Highway 350 in Centre County. The crash occurred as Nathan Ross was traveling north and a deer entered the roadway from the west berm. Ross was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front of his vehicle. He was not injured in the incident.
- Police report a crash that occurred on July 21 at 11:00 p.m. on state Route 350 in Rush Township. The crash occurred as Carol Peterson’s Chevrolet Impala was traveling north on SR 350. Peterson fell asleep causing the vehicle to travel across both lanes of travel. The Impala continued traveling until it travled off the roadway and struck a ditch, causing initial impact. After initial impact, the vehicle continued traveling until it struck a tree, causing it to come to final rest. A citation for careless driving will be filed against the operator before District Court 49-3-03.
