Samuel Kenneth Shimmel, age 76, of Osceola Mills passed away on Monday, July 26, 2010 at his residence.
Born April 26, 1934 he was the son of the late Kenneth and Thelma Shimmel.
He was a retired truck driver and attended the C & MA Church in Osceola Mills.
On February 2, 1956 he wed Lenora Shimmel who survives.
He is also survived by a daughter Barbara Kenney and her husband Daryl of Hamburg; four sons, Richard Shimmel and his wife Kimberly of Mont Alto, James Shimmel and his wife Cynthia of Lake City, FL, Jerome Shimmel and his wife Brenda of Shickshinney, PA, Dwight Shimmel and his wife Kim of Tyrone; five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth L. Shimmel and a sister, Mary Louise Donner.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at noon at the Heath Funeral Home, Osceola Mills with the Rev. Steve Miller and Rev. Paul Jacobson officiating.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to the hour of services at the funeral home.
