Obituary Notice: Raymond Jacob Heath

Raymond Jacob Heath, 72, of Treasure Lake died Monday at his home.

Born on April 26, 1938 in Shippenville, he was the son of the late Wilmer and Twila (Hale) Heath. He had attended Treasure Lake Church.

Mr. Heath was a member of the Treasure Lake Golf Course and the DuBois Jaycee’s. He served on the financial board for the property owners association of Treasure Lake and the advisory board of FNB Bank. He was past president of the DuBois Little League Association.

He graduated from Keystone High School and moved to DuBois in 1962. He was employed with Mays Farm Equipment as a bookkeeper and truck driver. He then moved on to Imperial Homes and then the former Sharkey, Peterson and McGough.

In 1967, he began his career as an accountant at Riverside Bi-Lo. In the early 1980?s, he became president, which he maintained until his retirement in 1996. After his retirement, he became a part time accountant with the Paris Company.

He married Sharon L. Switzer on July 30, 1995. She survives him at home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Jeffrey Heath and his wife, Mary

of McLean, VA; David Heath and his wife, Lori of Leechburg; Patrick Heath and his wife, Erin of DuBois; and Robert Heath and his wife, Stacey of Dumfries, VA; a daughter, Julie and her husband, Al Fricke of Clearfield; two step-daughters, Tammy and her husband, Paul Pavsek of Irwin and Robyn and her husband, Tony Stawinksi of Irwin.

He?s survived by eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Wilmer Heath and his wife, Shirley of Salem.

Mr. Heath was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Treasure Lake Church with the Rev. Richard Whitaker officiating.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 ? 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. and from 1 p.m. until the hour of services Thursday at the church.
