New Traffic Control Measures Will Be In Place for the Route 830 Project in Falls Creek Area

CLEARFIELD – A four-way stop condition will be initiated on Tuesday, July 20, at the intersection of state Route 830, Larkeytown Road (T-350) and Tannery Road (T-353). The through-traffic currently on SR 830 will now be stopped at this intersection. Flaggers will direct traffic as necessary through the intersection. Changeable message boards will be in place on SR 830 to make motorists aware of the new traffic control measures.

In early June, PennDOT began work on a roadway and bridge improvement project in the Falls Creek area. The work zone stretches from the US Route 219/SR 830 intersection near Sheetz to west of the SR 830/Larkeytown Road/Tannery Road intersection, in Falls Creek.

H.R.I., Inc. of State College is the contractor on this $4.7 million job. All work is weather dependent. PennDOT expects work to be finished late fall of 2010. Motorists should be alert for roadway flaggers and slowed or stopped traffic. PennDOT will issue work updates as necessary.
