- Police report an incident of criminal mischief that occurred between 12:00 p.m. on July 12 and 5:30 p.m. on July 14 on Grapevine Lane along state Route 28 in Warsaw Township. An unknown suspect threw approximately 3 to 4 pounds of nails on the victim’s driveway. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
- Police reporte an accident that occurred on July 13 at 1:48 p.m. on Interstate 80 in Pine Creek Township. Sarah Lam was traveling west bound on I-80 when she fell asleep and lost control of the vehicle she was driving. The vehicle crossed the roadway and struck the guide rail just off the south berm with its driver’s side. The vehicle bounced off the guide rail and crossed the roadway once again and then struck a cement barrier just under the overpass with its right front end. Following the impact with the second barrier Lam pulled her vehicle off on the north berm just beyond the overpass. Lam received minor injuries and was cited for careless driving.
- Police report a crash that occurred on July 14 at 6:38 a.m. on I-80 west of mile marker 108.8. The crash occurred as Darcie Lundber-Kinser was traveling westbound on state Route 80 in the right lane. Her vehicle traveled off the north side of the roadway and traveled up the embankment, causing it to roll over and come to rest back on its wheels off the north side of the roadway facing southeast. Lundber-Kinser was not injured in the crash.
- Police responded to an accident that occurred on July 14 at 6:45 p.m. on township Route 479 in Jefferson County. A vehicle was traveling north on Moore Road at an unsafe speed. The operator lost control of the vehicle which traveled off of the left side of the road to strike an embankment and some trees and then rolled over onto its roof. Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle. The operator was flown to Altoona Hospital from the scene and the passenger suffered minor injuries.
- Police report a theft that occurred on July 14 between the hours of 1:00 and 5:30 in the Falls Creek Borough. A victim reported items missing from the NETSHAPE Technology, Inc. Facility located along state Route 950. Police are presently investigating this matter
- Police report an incident of criminal mischief that occurred between the hours of 7:00 p.m. on July 15 and 5:00 a.m. on July 16 in the area of 1814 Saddle Clap Road in Brady Township. A victim reported mirror damage to the windshield of her Mercury Mountaineer SUV occurring during listed dates. The investigation is ongoing.
- Police report an incident of criminal mischief that occurred on July 17 between noon and 7:00 p.m. at a residence located at 8349 Coal Hill Road in Brady Township. Suspect(s) damaged the victim’s front window with a ball bearing. Total damage property amounted to $200.
- Police report a crash that occurred on July 18 at 5:00 a.m. on Beechton Road in Snyder Township. Kristin Robinson was traveling north on Beechton Road when a deer entered the roadway from the left side. Robinson apparently swerved to the right in order to avoid striking the deer which resulted in the vehicle leaving the roadway and traveling down over an embankment before striking a tree nearly head-on. The driver was not injured.
