Phyllis B. Rush, Age 88, of Treasure Lake, DuBois, PA died Saturday, July 17, 2010 at her residence.
Born on Jan. 9, 1922 in Osceola Mills, PA, she was the daughter of the late John William & Ruth Caroline (Stephens) Bottomley.
On Feb. 2, 1946,she married James H. Rush, Sr. He preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 1992.
She was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard having served during World War II.
She was a payroll supervisor at Sheppard Pratt in Baltimore, MD for many years.
She was Presbyterian by faith and loved to read.
She lived in Lutherville, Maryland for over 50 years. In 1999, she relocated to DuBois, PA, to be with her niece, Mrs. Jeffrey (Denise) Lukens. Her niece survives and lives in Treasure Lake.
She is also survived by a sister in law (Louisa Rush of Maryland) and 2 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son (James H. Rush, Jr.) 2 sisters (Elizabeth Geesey & Ruth Marie Kashella) and 4 brothers (Donald L., John William, J. Robert, & Harold Bottomley)
A Private viewing will be held on July 20 from the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Timonium, MD.
