CLEARFIELD – PennDOT expects to open the new bridge on state Route 504 at Black Moshannon State Park on July 16. The bridge will be open in time for the annual Friends of Black Moshannon Summer Festival. The bridge is located on SR 504 over the lake in Black Moshannon State Park.
Crews have been working since February to replace the old bridge with a new concrete, box beam bridge. During construction, a temporary, one-lane bridge and a temporary traffic signal were in place.
As crews continue to perform guiderail and bridge barrier placement, channelizing devices will be in place. Motorists should use caution while crossing the bridge.
HRI, Inc. of State College was the contractor on this $1.8 million job.
PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions before heading out.
