Obituary Notice: Marvin Krebs

Marvin Krebs, 79, of Woodland, passed away July 14, 2010 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA.

Mr. Krebs was born July 5, 1931 in Bradford Township, the son of Walter and Verna (Welker) Krebs.

He had been employed as a drill operator in the mining industry and water wells.

Mr. Krebs was a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church.

He was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Krebs is survived by his wife, Barbara (Pelton) Krebs whom he married on June 8, 1953, four children; Rhonda Reiter and her husband Melvin of Clearfield, Mark L. Krebs and his wife Karen of Morrisdale, Marshall K. Krebs of Woodland and Colette J. Donahue and her husband Kenneth of Penfield, eight grandchildren; Elizabeth Uncles and her husband Steven, Danielle Krebs, Jennifer Wink and her husband Kevin, Kellie Ann Krebs, Mason Krebs, Marvin W. Krebs, Melanie Jarrett and her husband Scott and Denise Kephart, six great grandchildren, two sisters; Phyllis Shirey and Marie Maines and her husband Clifford all of Woodland, a brother, Paul Krebs of Brisbin and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Kerrie Ann Krebs, a sister, Gloria Krebs and four brothers; Jack, Marshall, Ray and Kyle Krebs.

Funeral Services will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., of Clearfield on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Charles Frank officiating. Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post No. 6 and Veterans of Foreign Wars F. Michael Sicks Post No. 1785 Honor Guard.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on  July 16 from 5-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services.
