James M. “Pitts” Pittsley, 65, of DuBois, PA. passed away July 13, 2010 at his home.
Born March 21, 1945 in DuBois, he was the son of the late James J. and Janette “Netta” (Watson) Pittsley.
Mr. Pittsley was employed with Penelec Electric Company until retirement in 2000.
He was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church.
Mr. Pittsley was a member of the Union I.B.E.W., he was a former West Sandy Fire Chief, and past Clearfield County Fire Warden, he was a member of the Sandy Hose Company No. 1, the Olympic Athletic Club, Pulaski Club, Falls Creek Eagles and the DuBois American Legion Post #17.
He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
Mr. Pittlsley is survived by his wife; Bonita “Bonnie” L. (Kweder) Pittsley whom he married April 29, 1972 in DuBois, three sons; James M. Pittsley and his wife Audrey, Thomas V. Pittsley and his wife Jennifer, and Timothy A. Pittsley and his wife Susanne all of DuBois and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two infant sisters.
At the request of Mr. Pittsley there will be no public visitation or services.
The family suggests that contributions be made to DRMC Home Health and Hospice, 100 Hospital Ave., DuBois, PA 15801 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
