- Police are investigating a hit and run that occurred on North Fourth Street in Philipsburg Borough sometime between July 8 and 9. An unknown vehicle was traveling south on North Fourth Street and hit a car that was legally parked on the side of the street. The driver did not stop after hitting the vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact the State Police in Philipsburg.
- Police are investigating an incident of theft by deception in which a local representative for a youth sports association alleged that fundraiser money had been defrauded,
- A one-vehicle accident occurred on Marengo Road in Halfmoon Township. A 19-year-old Warriors Mark man was traveling south and failed to negotiate a left curve. HIs 2004 Dodge Stratus went off the road and over an embankment before hitting two trees. He was cited for driving vehicle safe speed. The police were assisted by the Port Matilda Emergency Medical Service and the Warriors Mark Volunteer Fire Department.
