Police Report: Philipsburg PSP

– Police reported an incident of harassment at 11 p.m. Thursday in Rush Township, Centre County. A 41-year-old Philipsburg man drove by a 47-year-old Philipsburg man at the Cold Stream Uni-Mart and reportedly made threatening remarks to him. Charges will be filed through the district court.

– Police reported an incident of theft of a motor vehicle sometime between June 30 and July 7 in Rush Township, Centre County. A person(s) arrived at a 77-year-old Philipsburg woman’s residence and allegedly removed a green-colored Kawasaki 220 Bayou all-terrain vehicle from her backyard. The person(s) then fled the scene. – Police reported a possible attempted burglary/criminal mischief that occurred between 6 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. July 2 in Rush Township, Centre County. Someone allegedly broke a latch off an outbuilding at the former Philipsburg Area Hospital.

Police said someone appeared to have pulled too hard on the outside of the door, breaking the inside latch off the door jamb. They indicated there were no signs of forced entry.

– Police reported an incident of simple assault (domestic) at 7:25 p.m. Saturday in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. A 48-year-old Philipsburg man arrived home and was reportedly struck in the head with a large, frying pan by a 50-year-old Philipsburg woman. He reportedly suffered an abrasion on his head as a result. The woman was placed into custody and transported to the centre County Prison. She was to be arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment.

– Police reported an incident of criminal mischief that occurred sometime between 10:30 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. A 39-year-old Philipsburg man told police that someone dented the driver’s side door of his 1999 Chevy Tahoe while it was parked at the lot at the intersection of North Second and Pine Streets. – Police reported an incident of harassment at 8:15 p.m. Saturday in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. A 14-year-old male juvenile was at the Main Won Restaurant, when a 19-year-old Philipsburg woman arrived and allegedly struck him in the face with her hand.  A non-traffic citation was filed before Magisterial District Judge Allen Sinclair against the woman for summary harassment.

– Police reported a missing person – runaway at 1:30 a.m. Friday in Rush Township, Centre County. A 16-year-old Osceola Mills female juvenile left her residence. Troopers made numerous phone calls and interviewed friends of the juvenile in an attempt to locate her.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., the juvenile contacted the state police barracks and notified them of her location. Her parents then went to the location and picked her up. Charges of disorderly conduct will be filed against the juvenile.

– Police reported an incident of harassment that occurred sometime between June 12 and Sunday in Rush Township, Centre County. Troopers investigated an incident of a series of hang-up phone calls that were being made to a Railroad Street resident. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
