- On July 5, police were dispatched to the 700th block of West Washington Avenue at 3:49 a.m. for a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle. Officers responded and found that the driver side window had been smashed out of a 1997 Honda.
- At 6:47 a.m. July 5, police responded to Kohlhepp’s for a reported alarm. It was an accidental trip by an employee.
- At 8:28 a.m. July 5, police handled a complaint of credit card fraud in the 500th block of South Main Street.
- Police responded to the 200th block of Morrison Street for a report of a theft from a vehicle. At arrival, officers spoke with the caller. He advised sometime overnight, someone had removed his wallet out of his Jeep.
- At 11:56 a.m. July 5, police handled a burglary, which occurred in the 40oth block of East Park Avenue. Someone entered the basement of the residence and removed a bicycle. Through investigation, officers were able to recover the stolen bicycle. Charges are pending.
- At 1:30 p.m. July 5, police responded for a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle. Officers found that someone had smashed the rear window out of the caller’s company vehicle. The vehicle, a 2009 Chevrolet belonging to DMS, was parked in the 800th block of West Washington Avenue.
- At 1:37 a.m. July 6, police responded for a report of a trespass at 107 West Washington Avenue. Officers took 26-year-old Philadelphia man into custody, as there was a warrant for his arrest out of Delaware County. He was placed in Clearfield County Jail on a detainer from Delaware County.
- Police received a bad check complaint from YBC on Parkway Drive at 1:53 p.m. on July 6. The check was written in the amount of $520.09.
- At 4:28 p.m. July 6, police were called to 90 Beaver Drive for a report of a patient who was at a doctor’s office and had attempted to drive after being sedated. Officers were able to find the patient a ride.
- Police responded to the 300th block of Pifer Street for a report of a 13-year-old girl who was out of control. Police were able to calm down the situation and referred the case to CYS.
- On July 6, police responded to the alarm at the Social Security Administration office on Hoover Avenue. All was found to be OK.
- At 6:28 a.m. July 7, police were called to a residence in the 400th block of Spring Avenue for a report of a found child. The 7-year-old boy reported to the caller that he was running away because he didn’t want to be locked in his room all the time. The case was referred to CYS.
- Police handled a non-reportable accident, involving two vehicles at the DuBois Regional Medical Center – West at 9:17 a.m. July 7. No one was injured in the mishap.
- At 9:41 p.m. on July 7, police handled a 911 hang-up at the Best Western. It was found to be an accidental dial.
- At 6:08 a.m. on July 8, police were called to the first block of South Franklin Street for a report of theft from a vehicle The owner of a 2004 Honda Civic reported that sometime overnight, someone stole $145 worth of items from the vehicle.
- Police handled a retail theft complaint at Sheetz, 124 North Brady Street, at 6:45 a.m. on July 8. A known female allegedly took numerous sunglasses from a rack and did not pay for the items. The investigation continues.
- At 6:47 a.m. July 8, police were called to the first block of East Sherman Avenue for a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle. The owner of a 2006 Mitsubishi Endeavor woke to find all four tires had been slashed sometime overnight.
- Police responded to the 300 block of North Third Street at 10:42 a.m. on July 8 for a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle. The owner of a 2009 Dodge Durango reported he woke to find damage had been done to his vehicle.
- At 11:47 a.m. July 8, police were called to the first block of South Jared Street for a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence. The officers found the domestic to be an argument and not physical. The parties were separated. No charges will be filed.
