HYDE – DuBois amassed 20 hits, including six home runs and seven doubles, to thump Clearfield 20-3 in a five-inning Jefferson County Legion League game at the Bison Sports Complex Tuesday evening.
Brady Bish and winning pitcher Dante DeSantis were the big guns for the league leaders, now 12-0.
Each slugged two homers and a double, Bish driving in five runs and DeSantis chasing home four.
Also making significant contributions were Sean Sleigh with four hits, one a homer, and two RBIs, Nate Sabados with a double, two singles and two RBIs and Dom Kriner with a three-run homer and a single.
DeSantis five-hit the Post 6 Chiefs, striking out five and walking three.
Clearfield scored in the third inning.
Jarrett Fulmer tripled and crossed the plate on Kyle Timchak’s groundout. Later, Derek Danver added a two-run single.
Bookhamer had two hits for the Chiefs, who are 9-6 in the JCL and 11-9 after their fourth consecutive setback.
Tyler Jacobson was the losing hurler, with Timchak and Fulmer making their first appearances on the mound in relief.
Clearfield is back in action Thursday at Punxsutawney in an 8 p.m. start and Friday at home against Reynoldsville.
