OSCELA MILLS – On Wednesday, PennDOT will re-open the Moshannon Creek Bridge on Stone Street Extension in Osceola Mills. PennDOT expects to re-open the bridge to traffic by late afternoon on Wednesday. The bridge has been closed since early May for repair and rehabilitation work. The bridge is located in Rush Township in Centre County, near the Clearfield/Centre county line.
Once the bridge is open, PennDOT will lift the detour on state Routes 2051 (Curtin Street), 3049 and 3027 (Spike Island Road).
Work has included deck replacement, beam and parapet repair, and guide rail repair. C.H. and D Enterprises, Inc. of New Stanton was the contractor on this $250,000 job. The bridge is re-opening about three weeks ahead of schedule.
PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions before heading out.
