Marlene Joyce Thomas, 72 of Curwensville, and formerly of Woodland, died on June 27, 2010 at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
She was born on Sept. 10, 1937 in Woodland, a daughter of the late James Edward and Georgie Irene (Lingle) Knepp.
Mrs. Thomas was employed by the former Shortway Products, Clearfield.
She was Methodist by faith.
She is survived by two daughters:
Tammy Miller and husband Glenn Curwensville
Brenda McCahan and husband William Olanta
Three grandchildren:
Ashley Lynn Miller South Williamsport
Clayton Andrew Miller and wife Michelle Curwensville
Breanna Cheyenne McCahan Olanta
And a sister and three brothers:
Phyllis Irene Jordan and husband John Woodland
James Keith Knepp and wife Sue TX
Charles Warren Knepp and wife Cheryl Clearfield
Daniel Lynn Knepp and wife Barb Woodland
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday from 10-11 AM.
At the request of Mrs. Thomas, there will be no public services. Interment will be in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 541 Graham Station Road, Philipsburg, PA 16866 or the UPMC Children’s Hospital, 4401 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15224.
