OLANTA – PennDOT re-opened a bridge on state Route 2022(O’Shanter Road) in Olanta this morning. PennDOT Clearfield County Maintenance crews began work on June 14 to remove the old bridge and replace it with a box culvert. The bridge spans a tributary of Little Clearfield Creek on SR 2022 in Olanta. With the bridge open to traffic, PennDOT has removed the detour on SR’s 453 and 2012.
Crews will need to return next week to finish guide rail installation and roadway paving. This finish work will be done under daylight flagging. “Rough pavement” signs are in place currently to alert motorists to the unpaved roadway condition.
PennDOT also reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions before heading out.
