Lyleville Bridge Closed for Repairs

COALPORT – PennDOT closed the Lyleville Bridge today, near the town of Coalport.  The bridge will be closed through early July in order to make repairs to the deck and install a new, latex concrete deck surface. The bridge spans Clearfield Creek on state Route 3008 (Lyleville Road) near Coalport in Clearfield County.

A detour around the closure is in place. The detour makes use of SR 3005 and SR 53.  Drivers are reminded to obey posted speed limits and detour signs.

Swank Associated Companies of New Kensington is the contractor on this job. The project is financed with federal funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and is part of a $2.2 million contract to rehabilitate seven bridges in Clearfield and Potter counties.

This project is part of PennDOT’s more than $66 million investment of federal economic recovery funds being spent on 17 transportation projects across the nine counties of District 2.
