Police Report: Clearfield Borough

– Several fishing gear items were turned into police after it was left in Witmer Park. The owner can claim the clothing items by contacting police at 814-765-7819.

– Police assisted emergency medical services along South Fourth Street with a suspected alcohol overdose. The patient was transported to the Clearfield Hospital for treatment.

– Police responded to a Walnut Street location for a female who was experiencing mental health issues. After repeated visits by police, the female was taken into custody on a mental health warrant. She was transported to the Clearfield Hospital.

– Police arrested a 19-year-old male for theft and several counts of bad checks. He had allegedly written approximately $3,000 worth of bad checks in the borough. He was arraigned and placed in the Clearfield County Jail.

Upon police arrival, the male reportedly took off on foot and was later apprehended by officers. The male was also reportedly found in possession of drugs and paraphernalia.

The female then reportedly attempted to leave in a vehicle but was stopped by officers along North Third Street. Both were taken to the Clearfield County Jail and arraigned on charges.
