Obituary Notice: Mildred M. Eckley

Mildred Marie Eckley, 95, of Clearfield, PA went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2010 at 10:00 p.m.

Born February 9, 1915 in Clearfield, Mildred was the daughter of the late Helmer and Olga (Ogren) Johnson.

Mildred was a dedicated Christian, serving the Lord for many years as a Sunday School Teacher and Church ministries.

Mildred was a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church of Clearfield. She loved her Lord and Savior her family and friends and was loved so much in return.

Mildred lived her life true to her faith and convictions. Her prayers and kindness and gentleness will be greatly missed and she will always have a permanent place in our hearts.

Mildred worked as a Secretary in Harrisburg and other jobs in Clearfield including Kurtz Brothers retiring from there after many years of service.

She is survived by a son; Edward N. Eckley of Clearfield, three sisters; Dorothy Johnson, Ruth Miller both of Clearfield and Emma Hunsberger and her husband Rev. Claude Hunsberger of DuBois and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Norman Eckley who passed away on May 29, 1975 , a sister Elsie Johnson, and four brothers; Harry, Victor, Raymond and Gilbert Johnson .

Funeral services will be held on June 18 at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Duane A. White officiating. Interment will be in
Bradford Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services.
