CLEARFIELD – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has closed a section of state Route 2022 (O’Shanter Road) in the village of Olanta today for bridge replacement work. The road is closed at the intersection of SR 453 in Olanta. PennDOT expects the closure to be in place for at least two weeks. A detour using SR’s 453, 2012 (Turkey Hill Road), and 2023 is in effect.
PennDOT Clearfield County Maintenance forces are working to remove the current small bridge and replace it with a box culvert. The bridge spans a tributary of Little Clearfield Creek on Route 2022 in Olanta. All work is weather dependent.
Drivers are reminded to obey posted speed limits and detour signs and to always buckle up.
PennDOT also reminds motorists they can log on to www.511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions before heading out.
