Helen L. Welsh, age 90, formerly of Falls Creek, PA died on June 6, 2010 at Nelson Golden Years in DuBois, PA.
She was born on May 30, 1920 in DuBois, PA. She was the daughter of Jacob and Tillie Belle (Davis) Heilbrun.
On Oct. 5, 1940, she married Donald H. Welsh. He preceded her in death on July 21, 2003.
She worked at Artley dress shop and then retired from Jackson China Store in DuBois and Falls Creek, PA.
She was a Brownie Scout Leader. She enjoyed bowling for many years, loved to crochet and do ceramics.
She is survived by her son, John Milton Welsh and his wife, Dorothy of Falls Creek, PA, two daughters, Donna Jean Loweranitis Salizzoni and her husband, Patrick of DuBois, PA, and Jacqueline Lee Bennett and her husband, Kenneth, Sr. of DuBois, PA, one sister, Margaret (Margie) Dolan of DuBois, PA, ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Earl and Billy Heilbrun, two infant brothers and two sisters, Evelyn Badyl and Gertrude (Trudy) Kirker.
Visitation will be on June 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from the Goble Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on June 8, 2010 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with Pastor David Bish officiating.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
