CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of June 7, 2010.
On March 16, 2005, Sergeant Gregory Neeper, of the Clearfield Borough Police Department, filed a criminal complaint charging Baker with: 1) theft of services, M1.
An affidavit of probable Cause filed by Neeper states that on February 24, 2005, the Clearfield Borough Police Department received a complaint from a service technician working for Atlantic Broadband/Charter Communications. The technician reported a suspicion that tenants in twoseparate apartments were involved in a theft of cable and internet services. The technician observed a television cable and internet cable running in the hallway of the apartment building from under the doors of the two separate apartments. When police questioned the tenant of one of the apartments, the tenant stated that she canceled her internet and television cable service and asked Baker if she could run a connection from his television and computer service to her television and computer. Baker agreed and the line was run between the two apartments. The unlawful connection lasted for approximately two months.
A preliminary hearing was held on April 20, 2005, at which time Baker waived the charge to Court. On Dec. 15, 2005, Baker failed to appear for Criminal Call and a warrant was issued for Baker’s arrest.
Baker is described as follows:
Race: White
Sex: Male
Height: 6 feet
Eyes: Brown
