- Police are investigating an incident of criminal mischief that took place at the R & G Garage along state Route 53 in Madera. Jackie M. Dipko, 42 of Houtzdale, told police that sometime between May 19-26 someone spray painted her 1999 Ford Expedition black while it was parked at the garage. The damage is estimated at $300. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 857-3800.
- A theft that occurred at a private property along state Route 453 in the Bloomington area is currently under investigation. Robert A. Shaffer, of Curwensville, told police that someone removed a wooden cross, a Steelers flag, and two solar lights from his property. The cross and other items were placed a roadside memorial for Jeff Hamilton who was killed in a motorcycle accident last year. Someone pulled the cross from the ground where it had been cemented in place by family and friends. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 857-3800.
