Fugitive Turns Self In

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.

Shaw identified the fugitive as Patricia Aites, age 43, of Locust Street, DuBois. Aites was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on May 24, 2010.

Shaw stated that Aites voluntarily surrender herself to Deputies from the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office on May 25, 2010, after learning that she had been placed on the Fugitive of Week list. Aites is currently housed in the Clearfield County jail.

Aites is facing a criminal charge in Clearfield County of: 1) theft of leased property, M1. The charges relates to a criminal complaint filed by the Sandy Township Police Department after Aites leased a King Trumpet from Fritz Piano & Organs and failed to pay for the trumpet after receiving notice.

Shaw reported that Aites will be placed on the criminal trial list with trial to occur within the next four months.
