BELLEFONTE — Curwensville High School sophomore Jake Keller placed third in the 130 pound Cadet Division at the PA State Freestyle Wrestling Championships in Bellefonte recently.
The placing qualifies Keller for the National Freestyle Championships in Fargo, ND the week of July 18 through 23, 2010.
As a member of the PA team, Keller will join his teammates for a training camp at the University of Pitt-Johnstown before embarking on the trip to Fargo.
Representing the Mat Hog Wrestling Club at the state championships, Keller placed second in his pool to eventual state champion Benny Rager of the Young Guns.
Keller then beat Peter Renda 3-1, 5-3 to place third overall.
