Frances M. Scovern, 86 of Windy Hill Village and formerly of Osceola Mills, passed away on May 16 at Windy Hill Village.
He was born on Sept. 7, 1923, the son of the late Alex and Mary (Bagrosky) Scovern.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, was retired from the former General Cigar in Philipsburg and graduated from the former Osceola High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Grace Miller, Margaret Urish and Genevieve Scovern; brothers John and William Scovern; niece Brenda Housley Whitman and nephew James “Jim Jim” Scovern.
He is survived by sisters Betty Kahle of Belair, MD and Mary Kay Housley and her Husband William of Philipsburg; and brother James Scovern and his wife Connie of Sandy Ridge.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on May 19 at 2 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Osceola Mills with the Rev. Father Robert Horgas officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Osceola Mills. There will be no public viewing.
The Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills is in charge of the arrangements.
