CLEARFIELD – Applications are still being accepted for Central PA Community Action’s Scholarship Program. This program is offering scholarships of up to $1000 to income eligible residents of Centre and Clearfield counties.
The scholarships will be given to students enrolled in an institution of higher education within the state of Pennsylvania including two year, four year, business and trade schools. The award must be used for the 2010-2011 school year and can be used for books, lab fees, tuition and certification fees. The applicant’s household income must fall below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. For example, a family of four can earn up to $44,100/year.
