Obituary Notice: Catherine P. Biancuzzo

Catherine P. Biancuzzo, 71 of Clearfield died on May 15, 2010 at her residence.

She was born on March 3, 1939 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy (Pontillo) Mendolia.

Mrs. Biancuzzo retired from Bayer Clothing Company in 2000.

She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, where she belonged to the Rosary and Altar Society and served on the Bereavement Committee.  Also, Mrs. Biancuzzo was a member of the Clearfield Sons of Italy Lodge 189 and the Elk Hose Auxiliary, Clearfield.  She was a volunteer for R.S.V.P. as well as a volunteer at the Clearfield hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip M. Biancuzzo, whom she wed April 25, 1959 at St. Francis Church,

      Joanna Bouch                                                                                Mahaffey

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Nicoletta Mendolia Legory.

 Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant.  Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9-9:30 a.m.

A Christian Vigil Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:45 p.m.
