Bell-bottoms Optional at BoomerFest

CLEARFIELD – Are you a bored Boomer? … Then get Radical! Try something exciting, learn something new, or just enjoy a day with friends. BoomerFest has something for everyone!  The Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Inc. in partnership with the Clearfield YMCA, CAST (Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre), the Clearfield County Historical Society, the Shaw Public Library, and the Clearfield County Recreation and Tourism Authority, is planning the first annual BoomerFest – A Life Options Event. This enlivening event will take place on June 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. throughout the downtown Clearfield “Hub”.

The day is being planned primarily for persons age 50 to 60, although younger and older adults might choose to check it out.  Opportunities to learn about everything from ballroom dancing and wine making to short seminars on “When to Retire,” “Business Transitions,” and “Financial Planning” will be offered. Different downtown locations will be used for the various presentations, and a number of local restaurants will be offering specials that day.

With over 50 demonstrations and seminars planned throughout the day, BoomerFest offers opportunities to enhance every dimension of your life. Anyone who has ever said “There is nothing to do in Clearfield County” should plan on attending BoomerFest! Call 765-2696 or visit online for more details!
