Ned D. Swanson, Jr., 41 of Woodland, PA, passed away May 9, 2010 at the Clearfield Hospital.
Born June 19, 1968 in Clearfield, PA, he was the son of Ned D. Swanson, Sr. of Woodland and Sherry (Rummings) Houser of Hyde.
Mr. Swanson had been employed by Bloom Electric in Curwensville for nearly fifteen years as a plumber.
He had attended Curwensville Area School.
He was a Christian. Mr. Swanson had been involved in Bradford Twp. Baseball as a T-Ball-Minor League coach for several years.
He enjoyed hunting, especially with his son.
Mr. Swanson is survived by his wife, Robyn L. (Kephart) Swanson, whom he married on February 17, 1990 in Clearfield; two children: Benjamin L. Swanson and his fiancee Heather Edwards of Woodland and Shelby L. Swanson at home; brothers and sisters in-law: Kevin Kephart and his wife Linda of State College, Kiersten Maines and her husband Duane of Bigler, Dan Kephart of State College and Linda Kephart of Woodland; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Also surviving is a close family friend, James Ogden.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lewis and Alice Rummings and his paternal grandparents, Martin and Elizabeth Swanson. Also preceding him in death are his mother and father in-law, Alfred and Margaret Kephart.
Funeral services will be held on May 13 at 3:00 p.m. at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Kenneth Pry officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on May 12 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of services.
