Obituary Notice: Maxwell Dean Tillotson

Mr. Maxwell Dean Tillotson, 85, of Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville and formerly of Lindley, NY, passed away at 6:30 a.m., on May 3 at Ridgeview Elder Care Rehabilitation Center.
 
He was born Nov. 29, 1924 in Canton, PA a son of the late Paul E. and Maude B. (Wilcox) Tillotson.
 
Dean was a hard working farmer and worked for Corning Natural Gas Co. in Corning, NY.  In his early years he owned and operated a restaurant, a gas station in Lindley, NY and a lounge – restaurant in Addison, NY.  After retiring he worked for Lindley Township and was a Code Enforcement Officer in Lindley.  He continued to run a small farm where he made hay and raised beef cattle.  Dean enjoyed hunting deer and turkey.  When he no longer could go hunting, he would reminisce about the times when he did and was always ready to give advice as to where to hunt.
 
Dean is survived by five children; Linda J. Tillotson and her fiancee Gary Stoker of Luthersburg; Pamela J. Frantz and her husband Rick of Luthersburg; Teresa M. Stocum and her husband Marc of Lindley, NY; Jeannie M. Frailey and her husband Leo of Irvona and Clayton Duttry and his fiancee Julie McLaughlin of Houtzdale.
 
He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
 
Dean is also survived by the following siblings; Ernestine Herman of Roaring Branch, PA;  Aleatha Wright  and her husband Wayne of Bodines, PA; Ella Mae  “Spike” Yaggie of Canton, PA;  Anna Lee “Tyke” Wright  and her husband Mark of Waverly, NY; Leon Tillotson and his wife Vivian of Roaring Branch; Lewis Tillotson and his wife Jean of Elmira, NY.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Morrell and William Tillotson, an infant granddaughter and a great granddaughter Brittany Frantz.
 
Friends will be received on Wed., May 5 from 2-4 and 6-7 PM at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc Madera.
Funeral Services will be held on Wed., May 5 at 7:00 PM in the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc,  with Pastor Mark Melhorn officiating.
