Mary J. Woodel Caldwell, 76 Hyde died Friday at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
Born on May 2, 1933 in Pike Township, she was the daughter of Harry David and Roxie Ann (Passmore) Snyder. Ms. Caldwell was affiliated with the Hyde Wesleyan Church.
She had been retired from Target Sportswear after nearly 30 years of service. Also, she had been previously employed by the former Betty Brite Cleaners, Clearfield.
Ms. Caldwell is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Albert, Walter and Frank Snyder and a grandson, Cody Russell.
She is survived by her five daughters, Wanda Jordan and her husband, Calvin, of Hyde; Charlotte Woodel and her fiancé, Art Wisor, of Clearfield; Charmaine Hull and her husband, Willis, of Clearfield; Karen Sheats and her husband, Dale, of Bellefonte; and Kandy Woodel, of Clearfield.
In addition, Ms. Caldwell is survived by two sisters, Verna Saunders and her husband, Richard, of Niagara Falls, NY, and Catherine Marietta and her husband, Donald, of Hyde.
She is survived by 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., 312 E. Locust Street, Clearfield, with Rev. Robert Croft officiating. Interment will be in Thompson Cemetery, Glen Richey.
Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 1 p.m. until the house of the services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
