CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr. announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of April 12, 2010.

Shaw identified the fugitive as Rose Marie Rauch, 37 of Byers Street, Clearfield.

Shaw stated Rauch is wanted for failure to appear at criminal call on July 17, 2009 on two separate cases.

On Dec. 18, 2008, Tpr. David Patrick, of the Pennsylvania State Police, Woodland barracks, filed a criminal complaint, charging Rauch with burglary, criminal conspiracy, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

An affidavit of probable cause, which was filed by Patrick, states that on Sept. 18, 2008 between the hours of 1:30 – 2 a.m., Rauch and a known male were driving around in a 1995 Chevy Lumina, grey in color.

Rauch and the male stopped at Ken’s Stop & Shop located in Glen Hope Borough. The male went to the store front and moved a lottery sign away from the window. The male then broke the store window and gained entrance into the store.

Once inside, the male removed a cash register. While driving from the scene, Rauch disassembled the cash register. Rauch disposed of the cash register by depositing it in a wooded area near Kylertown.

In a separate case, Tpr. Abby Blazevich, of the Pennsylvania State Police, Punxsutawney barracks, filed a criminal complaint on Dec. 19, 2008, charging Rauch with burglary, criminal conspiracy, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.

An affidavit of probable cause filed by Blazevich states that on Sept. 15, 2008, the state police were notified of a burglary at the Mahaffey VFW. An employee discovered that someone had entered the VFW on the prior evening by damaging a back door.

Once inside, approximately $559.00 in cash was taken, as well as twelve bottles of vodka and two personal checks.

On Jan. 28, 2009, Rauch appeared for a preliminary hearing on both cases and waived the charges to court. On July 29, 2009, Rauch failed to appear for a criminal call, and a warrant was issued for Rauch’s arrest.

Rauch is described as a Caucasian female who is 5-foot, 8-inches tall and 180 pounds. She has blue eyes and brown hair.

Anyone with knowledge of Rauch’s location is asked to call Clearfield County Crimestoppers at (800)-376-4700. All calls to Crimestoppers are confidential.
