The Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library celebrated National Library Week with the Pennsylvania One Book, Every Young Child Initiative on April 15. A few very special visitors entertained over 60 children and their families. Guest readers Susan Reed of Clearfield Borough Council, and Leslie Stott, Clearfield Borough operations manager, shared What a Treasure! while participants enjoyed games, songs, and other stories relating to friendship and treasures. The children also received a special visit from Chief Jeff Rhone and McGruff the Crime Dog, who talked to the children about staying safe.
