CLEARFIELD – Hunting and outdoor enthusiasts are gearing up for the Central PA Outdoor & Sports Show to be held May 7 – 9 at the Clearfield County Fair Grounds.
The inaugural event is sponsored by Grice Gun Shop, Budweiser, Starr’s Trailer Sales and Little Pine Resources.
The show is free and open to the public. In addition to an array of exhibitors, the show will feature a slate of presenters and seminar topics, such as fly fishing, Pennsylvania elk, food plotting, coyote trapping and more.
A trout fishing pond will be sponsored by CNB Bank, with fly-casting and fly-tying clinics presented by Trout Unlimited and Jim’s Sports Center.
PA Wildlife Habitat Unlimited will hold educational projects and construct Wren boxes with children, while T & D Carvers and Appalachian Art Studios offer Chain Saw Carving Demonstrations and more.
The Fair & Park board is sponsoring a headline entertainment concert with Winger and special guests, Firehouse. The concert will be held on Saturday, May 8 at 7 p.m. on the Grandstand Stage. Tickets can be ordered online by visiting www.clearfieldcountyfair.com.
In conjunction with the concert, Universe Racing will present the Firehouse Racing Dodge Charger. Team driver, Steve Fox, of Hazelton, will be on hand Saturday to sign autographs and greet fans.
Thanks to the Pocono Raceway, a select number of show goers will have the opportunity to receive a free pass to the Pocono 200 in June.
