Obituary Notice: Chris W. Yotter

Christ Winter Yotter, Sr., age 85 of Treasure Lake, DuBois, PA died on April 26, 2010 at his residence.

He was born on Oct. 12, 1924 in Freeport, PA.  He was the son of the late Peter Charles Yotter and Maud (Reid) Yotter.

He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific Theatre as an Army Engineer.

On Nov. 3, 1945 in Freeport, PA, he married Genevieve “Debbie” (Lockwood) Yotter.  She survives and lives in DuBois, PA.

He was a retired electrical and aerospace engineer from Martin Marietta Corporation (now Lockheed-Martin) in Orlando, Florida.

He had his own electronics repair shop both as a boy and a young man.  He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in DuBois, PA.  He was a member of the Republican National Committee and Citizens for Human Life.

Christ loved woodworking, gardening and tinkering.  He built a pond and a fountain in his backyard, which he and his wife loved to relax by.  He loved both hearing and sharing good jokes and thrived on humor and enjoying the simple things in life.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son:  Chris W. Yotter, Jr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and four daughters, Mrs. John (Deborah D.) Oriel of Orlando, Florida, Patricia L. Yotter of Tallahassee, Florida, Pauline C. Caroll of Marion, Illinois, and Priscilla A. Yotter of Tallahassee, Florida, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be held on April 28 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Goble Baronick Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on April 29 at 11 a.m. from Christ Lutheran Church in DuBois, PA with Pastor Chris Ramsey and Pastor Katherine Douglass officiating.

Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
