AWC to Hold Annual Yard Sale This Week

CLEARFIELD – The Animal Welfare Council of the Alleghenies will hold its annual fundraiser, a gigantic  yard sale, April 29 from 12-6 p.m., April 30 from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. and May 1 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.  at the Clearfield County Driving Park, Expo II building. Saturday they will also hold an indoor Rabies Clinic from 10-12 the cost of $ 10 per vaccine.

This is the Fourth Annual Yard Sale for the AWC. We have grown out of the Hyde Fire Hall into the Expo II building thanks to the growing donations from surrounding animal lovers who want to be part of helping animals noted Geremy Kephart founding member of the AWC. Gigantic is the only way to describe this sale. Three tractor- trailers full of items on display, clothes, tools, linens, housewares, holiday items, some building items and lots and lots of books. We hope everyone interested in the welfare of animals stops over to browse, buy and support us,” Kephart noted.

The Yard Sale proceeds were a huge help in making our New Allegheny Spay & Neuter Clinic  located in Cleafield a reality. We have helped save hundreds of unwanted litters, suffering  and  health complications from happening to domestic pets and shelter animals in our county and surrounding counties.

This years proceeds will help support the Spay and Neuter clinic as well as some of our others programs that are currently being worked on.
