State College Man Facing Drug Charges

STATE COLLEGE – A State College man faces a number of drug charges after reportedly selling cocaine and marijuana to undercover investigators.

According to the state police in Philipsburg, Samuel Saltares faces charges: three counts of delivery of a controlled substance, three counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and three counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Police said the charges stem from an investigation by troopers from the TRoop G Vice and Narcotic Unit. Troopers set up controlled buys of marijuana and cocaine during a two-month time span. Police said that during this time Saltares sold 26.7 grams of marijuana, 6.7 grams of marijuana and 5 grams of cocaine on three separate occassions.

Saltares was taken into custody on warrants and arraigned. His bail was set at $25,000.
