Obituary Notice: Marla A. Kyler

Marla A. Kyler, 69, of Clearfield, passed away on April 24, 2010 at the Clearfield Hospital.

She was born on Nov. 25, 1940 in Clearfield, the daughter of Robert and Mary B. (Bailey) McGoey.

Ms. Kyler was a 1958 graduate of the Clearfield High School.

She was the former owner and operator of Mabel’s Pizza in Clearfield for many years. She had also been employed by Kelly Real Estate as an Agent for several years. Through the years, she had also been employed by Shortway Products and S & H Green Stamp Store.

Ms. Kyler was a member of the Old Town Grandmothers Club and earlier in life the Order of the Rainbow.

She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Clearfield and had taught Sunday School during her earlier years.

Ms. Kyler is survived by four children; Kenneth R. Kyler and his companion Teresa Peters of Clearfield, Norman J. Kyler of Clearfield, Jendi Baumgardner and her husband Todd of West Decatur and Milisa Kyler of Clearfield, seven grandchildren; Erica Baumgardner, Hannah Baumgardner, Kalie Scott, Amber Scott, Tiffaney Kyler, Norman Kyler and Garrett Kyler.

She was the last member of her generation having been preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on April 28 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., of Clearfield with Rev. Robert L. Rupp officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on April 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services.
