IRVONA – Officials have ruled a fire that occurred in Irvona an accident.
According to state police Fire Marshal Cpl. Thomas E. Josephson, the investigation into the fire at a garage at 235 Hopkins St. was due to an electrical malfunction. The garage and its contents were a total loss. Three ATVs and a dirt bike were among some of the items lost in the fire.
The loss is estimated at $30,000.
