CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Borough Police Department has received several complaints over the past couple of months concerning a possible scam.
Residents have told police that the callers are saying they are relatives and in jail. They are asking for bail money that be send by Western Union to some location in the United States or Canada. Most victims have been elderly but police wish to advise anyone who is receiving this type of call to not send any money and to immediately contact the police.
