HARRISBURG – At the direction of Gov. Edward G. Rendell, all United States and Pennsylvania Flags on all state facilities are being flown at half-staff on April 19, in recognition of the National Day of Service and Remembrance for Victims and Survivors of Terrorism.
Flags shall remain at half-staff through sunset.
The national observance, proclaimed by President Barack Obama, honors victims of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing and the 2001 terrorist attacks. It also recognizes the emergency responders and citizens who helped the victims and their families.
