Sophie P. Lanager, 75 of Hyde, passed away on April 15, 2010 at Dubois Regional Medical Center.
She was born on July 8, 1934 in Clearfield, the daughter of the late Elias & Sophia (Koch) Gisewhite.
On Oct. 24, 1975 in Clearfield, she married Theodore C. “Ted” Lanager, who survives at home.
She is survived by siblings Shirley Plante and her companion Larry Bunk of Clearfield and Donald Gisewhite and his wife Fran of Kissimmee, FL and numerous nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Martha Wright, Alma Hugar, Joanne Duncan, Alda Kula, Eleanora Daniels, Althea Grove and Willomina Kula, and brothers Elias Gisewhite II, John Gisewhite, Robert Gisewhite and Thomas Gisewhite.
She was of the Protestant Faith.
She was employed by the Clearfield High School, where she worked in the Cafeteria.
Funeral Services will be held at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, PA on April 18 at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Rodger Gorton officiating.
Burial will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on April 18 from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 4:00 pm.
