MORRIS TOWNSHIP – An early morning fire destroyed a Morris Township home early Friday morning.
According to Morris Township Fire Chief Jim Lytle, the fire occurred on the 1400 block of Old Turnpike Avenue and state Route 53. He said the home was fully engulfed by the time responders arrived on scene. Lytle said the home had three occupants and two pets.
He added that around 10 fire companies were on-hand, with approximately 40 firefighters in total.
The cause of the fire is currently undetermined and is under investigation by a state police fire marshal.
