PRC, MVEDP to Present Awards

PHILIPSBURG- The Moshannon Valley Economic Development Partnership and Philipsburg Revitalization Corporation will hold a combined Annual Awards Gala on April 29 in the Grand Ballroom at The Philips Hotel in Historic Downtown Philipsburg.  This is the 22nd year the MVEDP has been presenting awards and the 8th for the PRC. Awards will be presented honoring outstanding individual and organizational contributions to the Moshannon Valley. The award winners will be presented beautiful plaques made by Front Street Jewelers in Philipsburg.

The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. The award presentations will not begin until 7:00 p.m. in order to allow attendees to network. During the social time there will be an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets on 9 baskets which have been donated by local businesses. The proceeds of the basket raffle will benefit the Philipsburg Main Street Program.

“We have tried different formats and venues for our awards presentations in the past, but we feel the networking event works better than a sit down dinner” said Paul Springer, president of the MVEDP.  “This format gives attendees a chance to visit with one another and enjoy fine food, in a beautiful historic setting I can’t think of anything better” he said.

There is a cost associated with this event. For more information or to register to attend call Sharon at 814-342-2260 or visit www.PhilipsburgPA.org.
