Charles G. Weldon, age 63, of Philipsburg passed away on Friday, April 9, 2010 at his residence.
Born October 11, 1946 he was the son of the late Val and Julie Weldon.
He was a member of the Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Hawk Run. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard serving during the Vietnam War and was formerly a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
Mr. Weldon was a 1964 graduate of the Enola High School and was a 1969 graduate of the Pennsylvania State Police Academy in Hershey. He was a Pennsylvania State Trooper for 25 years serving in Montoursville and Philipsburg.
In 1994 he wed the former Fran Polachek who survives at home.
He is survived by three daughters, Heather Cunningham and her husband Rodney of Liberty Township, OH, Karen Thomas and her husband Jim of Morrisdale and Lori Smith of Philipsburg.
Also surviving are three brothers, David Weldon and his wife Marion of Mt. Holly Springs, Val Weldon and his wife Cindy of Enola, Paul Weldon and his companion Sherry of Duncannon and five grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Hawk Run with the Rev. Philip Billotte as celebrant.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. at the Beezer Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce Street, Philipsburg.
