Obituary Notice: Mary Jane Gillingham

Mary Jane Gillingham,   69 of Grampian died on April 6, 2010 at the home of her son in Grampian.

She was born on Oct. 24, 1940 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Harold and Margaret (Wisor) Hand.

Mrs. Gillingham was employed at the former Kent Sportswear and for the former Shortway Products, Inc.

She was Methodist by faith.

She is survived by a son, Richard C. Gillingham, Jr. and wife Carolyn of Grampian; four grandchildren: Richard Gillingham, III, and his fiancé Amanda Ickes, Tiffany Louise Gillingham and her fiancé Mike Dixon, Candace Marie Gillingham, Clarissa Mae Gillingham; five great-grandchildren; five brothers and three sisters:

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Gillingham, Sr.,   Feb. 14, 2000 and whom she married Nov. 3, 1962 in Clearfield and a brother-in-law, Joseph Gillingham.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Duane A. White officiating.  Interment will follow in the Centre Cemetery, Hyde.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10-11:00 a.m.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of one’s choice.
